Repurposed Commercial
Southwest Urban | Development | General Contracting | Commercial Brokerage
The latest renovation project for Southwest Urban is Antonio’s Bar, an old watering-hole in South Tucson on historic 4th Avenue. Situated in quiet area with a mix of residential and commercial properties, the location is south of American Eat Co. and in the heart of South Tucson. Our vision transformed the building into an urban dwelling with large versatile open areas for residential or business use.
The interior features a large main room with the old bar in a restored state with the original bar counter. We partitioned off a substantial area that can function as master bedroom or office, with a private bathroom. Another bathroom is located off the main room. Eat-in kitchen or breakroom, designed with IKEA cabinets, butcherblock counters, stainless appliances, laundry with utility sink, and pantry made from the old walk-in cold storage. Private outdoor area is fully fenced with an electric car gate, with 4 parking spaces, shaded patio, and landscape on drip irrigation.
The masonry block building has 2,765 SF with 12′ ceiling height on a 6,562 SF lot. We replaced the entire front side facing 4th Avenue, allowing us to improve the quality of the construction and add insulation and view windows. Infrastructure improvements include new roof, zoned HVAC system, plumbing, electrical, windows and doors.
